MONDAY MORNING DIRT BIN INITIATIVE
Since the beginning of September 2014, the Penlyn Estate Neighbourhood Watch members embarked on a "Bin Patrol Initiative".
We noticed the high increase of vagrants entering our area on a Monday morning. (as this is the day that our refuse will be collected) We arranged with members of Law Enforcement as well as PNW members to accompany us as we tried to rid our area of these elements
We felt that we were allowing these people to get too close to our properties as well eliminating the potential for opportunist who would try their luck at either breaking and entering your property or simply walking off with easily accessible items ie. your copper taps, pipes, hose pipe, light bulbs, plants, even your actual bin.
It has been a huge success thus far, and we urge everyone to try and get involved.
